Congratulations on the new authority. Before that first dispatch, your truck needs to be marked correctly — a missing or wrong marking is an easy ticket at the first inspection. Here is the checklist we walk every new owner-operator through.

What has to be on the truck

  • Legal business name or registered DBA, on both sides of the power unit.
  • The letters "USDOT" followed by your USDOT number.
  • MC number, if you run for-hire interstate with regulated cargo.
  • Some states/operations also want GVW, unit number, or "IL" intrastate markings — ask us if you are unsure.

What to bring us

  • Your exact legal name / DBA as registered with FMCSA (spelling matters).
  • Your USDOT number, and MC number if you have one.
  • How the truck is used (long-haul interstate vs. local) so we recommend permanent vinyl or magnetic.

Walk in with those three things and in most cases you drive out the same day — compliant, sharp, and ready to run. New fleets: ask about volume pricing on matching sets.
